Vocational Teacher/Instructor in Transport – 1 Position

Your Responsibilities

As a vocational teacher or instructor with us, your main tasks will involve teaching at the upper secondary level with a focus on transport. This includes both theoretical classroom teaching and practical instruction, such as practice driving and cargo securing. As an employee, you will have the opportunity for personal development and to work in a varied operation with a pleasant atmosphere and dedicated colleagues.

Your Qualifications

You have a vocational teacher's degree or are an instructor with relevant industry knowledge and previous experience in pedagogical work with young people or adults. You have good knowledge of computer systems and experience working with various types of transport, such as distribution, long-haul freight, special transports, and buses.

A driver's license with category C, CE, and YKB (Certificate of Professional Competence) is required for the position. It is an advantage if you also have categories D, crane, wheel loader, and forklift instructor licenses. It is desirable that you also hold a traffic teacher license.

What We Offer

Do you want to work at a vocational upper secondary school at the forefront? We are certified by BYN and are a Motor Industry College. Edströmska is a school with approximately 400 youth students and 100 adult students. We offer upper secondary and adult education, as well as YH (University College) education in aviation. Within our upper secondary operations, we offer education that prepares for work in the vehicle, transport, aviation mechanic, and construction industries.

For us, it is central to have close contact and collaboration with the industry and business life, particularly in Västmanland County. Before you can be employed, you must present a clean extract from the police criminal record.

During the interview, you will need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a population registration certificate together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.
