Källtorpskolan is a comprehensive school for grades 7-9 with approximately 400 students. Since the autumn term of 2024, we have also had an adapted comprehensive school for grades 7-9 with approximately 30 students. However, this position applies only to the regular comprehensive school.

Job Responsibilities

Källtorpskolan is organized based on the comprehensive school's entire mission according to chapters one, two, and three of the curriculum, and works systematically with the knowledge, values, and social mission according to LGR 22. As a teacher in Social Studies (SO), you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in your subjects based on the established curriculum, and you plan in collaboration with other teachers at the school to ensure equity.

The position includes being a mentor to a class together with a colleague, where you/you are responsible for implementing values-based and social work. You are responsible for assessing students' overall learning in teaching, values work, and social competencies, as well as documenting the same. It is important that you follow up on students' results, analyze them, and take measures to improve the results. Furthermore, you drive a operation together with other staff that helps children become secure, creative, and curious.

At Källtorpskolan, you work with driven, responsible, and collaborative colleagues, and there is engaged leadership at all levels, characterized by high expectations and great trust.

Qualifications

You have a Swedish teaching license and teaching eligibility to teach students in Social Studies (history, social studies, geography, and religion) at the lower secondary level, and you master the Swedish language at a high level in both speech and writing. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working as a teacher in the current grades and subjects, and if you also have eligibility in other subjects.

You are engaged and flexible and adapt easily to different situations. You can take initiative and are full of ideas. You can work independently but are also collaboration-oriented, both towards children, parents, and colleagues. It is important that you are responsive, have a low-affective approach, and have high social competence. Another important trait is the ability to build relationships and be a good listener.

You have the ability to communicate clearly and positively, as well as to build trust and good relationships, both internally and externally. You have leadership skills with pedagogical insight and the ability to motivate students. You take responsibility for your part while seeing the whole in the operation and unit.

We have projectors in all classrooms and use digital tools and teaching materials in our operations, so we would appreciate it if you have good IT skills.
