Do you want to make a real difference in a child's daily life and development? We are looking for an engaged, confident, and proactive student assistant who wants to work closely with a student throughout the entire school day and during leisure time.

About the role
As a student assistant, you will be a close and continuous support for a student in all school environments and situations. The role involves following the student through the entire day – in the classroom, during breaks, in after-school activities, and in social settings. You will also provide support in daily care tasks and other situations where the student needs security and guidance.

An important part of the role is to support the student's social and academic development by creating structure, guiding in social contexts, and working on training social skills and codes. Conflict management and relationship building are central parts of the job.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • Follow and support a student throughout the entire school and after-school day
  • Provide support in daily care tasks as needed
  • Guide the student in social contexts and train social codes and skills
  • Actively work with conflict management and preventive relationship work
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher and other school staff to support the student's academic development
  • Adapt and create activities that strengthen the student's learning, independence, and social development
  • Take initiative regarding creative activities and training of various skills in both knowledge and social development

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is confident, sensitive, and has great patience
  • Has the ability to build good relationships and work in a low-affective manner during challenging situations
  • Is proactive and creative in finding ways for learning and development
  • Has good collaboration skills and enjoys working closely with educators and guardians
  • Has experience working with children and young people, preferably within schools, NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), or special support measures (meritorious)

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. For the right person, this position offers the opportunity to make a significant difference in a student's daily life and development.

At Täby Friskola, we strive for a common approach where our core values are well rooted among both students and employees. We cherish an accessible learning environment where all students and employees are offered the opportunity to develop and feel proud of who they are. You who apply to us easily create contact with students, colleagues, and parents.

At Täby Friskola, you are never alone in challenges or problems; we support each other. We work actively with the whole student. Through pedagogical work, we want to provide the conditions to develop responsibility and good subject knowledge in all students. A calm and secure learning environment where peace prevails is an important part of our work. The teacher's leadership is a central part of the work. In meetings with parents, students, and colleagues, we create engagement and trust.

Scope: 100%

Employment type: Fixed-term

Start date: August 10

Location: Täby

We look forward to receiving your application!
