Do you want to make a real difference in students' daily lives and contribute to their development? We are now looking for two committed and reliable student assistants for our operations, focusing on students with extensive support needs as well as within adapted primary school.

As a student assistant, you work closely with one or more students who are in need of extensive support throughout their school day and in the after-school center. You are an important support in both teaching, social situations, and daily school life.

You collaborate with teachers, other student assistants, and our student health team to create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

The position includes among other things:

• Supporting students in teaching based on individual needs
• Working with clear pedagogy and structure both during the school day and in the after-school center.
• Helping with transfers, care, and practical tasks.
• Contributing to students' social development and sense of security
• Participating in planning and follow-up together with the work team

Furuborgskolan is the municipality's youngest school and covers grades F-6 as well as adapted primary school. The operation includes approximately 370 wonderful students and a committed and competent staff.

You are driven, committed, and thrive when collaborating around students in need of extensive special support. We also wish that you have experience working with students with intellectual and neuropsychiatric disabilities. It is meritorious if you have knowledge of sign language communication and/or other alternative communication methods.

To succeed with us, you need to be flexible, have good collaboration skills, be sensitive, and have the ability to put yourself in other people's perspectives. A secure and stable personality is necessary, as well as good physical fitness that can handle quick changes and the ability to support students with a large care need regarding, for example, meal situations, breaks, and hygiene.

We are looking for you who:

• Have previous experience working as a student assistant or in similar roles
• Have knowledge of and experience working with students with physical or neuropsychiatric functional variations and/or intellectual disabilities
• Are calm, flexible, and have a clear and low-affective approach
• Have the ability to build good relationships and work in a team
• Are confident in working structurally and adapting your support to the student's needs

Meritorious:

• Education as a student assistant or within pedagogy/care
• Experience from adapted primary school
• Knowledge of sign language communication and/or other alternative communication methods.

The positions are full-time and permanent, starting 2026-08-12 or as agreed.
