About the Workplace

The Child and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Board and the School Board. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school-age care, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important task is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. All our employees play a vital role in this.

The Language Centre administers native language instruction, study guidance, and reception for newly arrived immigrants in Huddinge Municipality. Approximately 2,700 students are taught in the primary school by 80 teachers.

We are now looking for a native language teacher in Wolof for the Language Centre in Huddinge Municipality.

About the Job

The position includes teaching at various schools in Huddinge Municipality. The teaching group holds pedagogical conferences and study days. We use digital aids in our teaching. The native language subject is graded, and at our pedagogical meetings, we work on knowledge requirements based on the Curriculum for the Compulsory School (Lgr22), grading, and equitable assessment to improve the quality of our language learning work. The position is approximately 17% but may potentially be expanded and currently covers native language instruction at various schools in the municipality. The native language instruction takes place after regular school hours, involving work in the late afternoons and evenings.

About You

We are looking for you who are a certified native language teacher in French and have documented experience in native language instruction at the primary school level. You have advantageous and good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You have good knowledge regarding the mapping of new students as well as preschool class students using the Swedish National Agency for Education's material "Hitta språket" (Find the Language). You have experience using digital tools and platforms in teaching. As a person, we see that you are independent, communicative, and responsible. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
