After-School Teacher – 2 Positions

The Kyrkskolan unit consists of two primary schools, Kyrk- and Balderskolan. Kyrkskolan is a grades F-6 school centrally located in Danderyd with approximately 400 students. Balderskolan is beautifully situated in a villa area in western Danderyd and covers grades F-3 with approximately 200 students.

Kevingeskolan is a municipal primary school centrally located near Mörby Centrum and Kevinge Golf Course. The school has just over 170 students in grades F-6. There is also an adapted primary school focusing on subjects and subject areas for children aged 6–12.

Responsibilities

As an after-school teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, following up on, and developing the teaching in the after-school program in accordance with the Swedish National Agency for Education's curriculum Lgr22 (chapters 1, 2, and 4) as well as the Education Act. Your responsibilities also include ensuring the after-school program's work in stimulating students' development and learning, as well as offering a meaningful leisure time that promotes security, participation, and social community. The school's compulsory education and the after-school program's activities should together form a whole.

A central function for after-school teachers is to lead the after-school department, and one of the key tools is familiarity with the curriculum and other governing documents that set the goals for the activity.

In your role, you will among other things:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching for the after-school program.
• Lead the after-school team.
• Work with students, both individually and in small groups.
• Act as a resource in the classroom during school hours.

Qualifications

We want you who apply for the position to have:

• Teacher certification for after-school programs.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language.

Meritorious qualifications include:

• Being a good leader who is familiar with the curriculum and can anchor it in the practice.
• Having knowledge about students with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPF).

You are a clear leader with salutogenic leadership skills and good knowledge of the curriculum as well as the mission of the after-school program. You are good at collaborating and view collegial collaboration within the after-school program and with the school as an asset and a prerequisite for having an inclusive school.

As a person, you should be positive, structured, and solution- and development-oriented. We are a school with a desire to reach all students and see every individual every day. As the responsible after-school teacher, we want you to contribute to a positive work environment by being a good role model in terms of interaction, creating good routines, and taking responsibility for good, positive cooperation.
