Sticklinge School is an F–6 school (preschool class to grade 6) with approximately 400 students. We are located in a beautiful and quiet natural area on Lidingö. The school also hosts a leisure center and youth activities for children and young people between the ages of 6 and 16. The school leadership consists of the principal and the deputy principal, who together drive a close and engaged pedagogical leadership.

Job Responsibilities

As a certified special educator, you are part of the student health team where we support students, teachers, and each other in daily work. You plan, participate in, and further develop operations together with students and colleagues. Teaching takes place individually, in small groups, and in the classroom. You are responsible for, together with mentors, preparing investigations regarding special support and action plans in close collaboration with colleagues and guardians. You meet and communicate with guardians as needed.

You will become part of a dedicated teaching staff that wants to develop together, where the collaboration with teachers is close. We believe in fulfilling the curriculum by offering students varied working methods to develop the skills necessary in tomorrow's society. As a special educator, you are an extra support for the students who need it most, and close and good contact with both teachers and guardians is a prerequisite.

Here, you will be offered stimulating work together with engaged students, guardians, and educators. On the school, besides you, there is another special educator and a special needs pedagogue. Among other things, we use Lexplore's eye scanner for all students from grade 1 to monitor reading fluency and reading ability in this way.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified special educator and want to work with students in preschool class, lower, and middle school. As a person, you are creative, innovative, and take initiative. You are also service-oriented, work well with other people, and can relate to them in a listening manner. It is also important that you are self-reliant and can set and keep timeframes in a structured and efficient manner.

You should be able to lead, motivate, and create engagement to bridge difficulties and increase students' desire and interest in learning. Furthermore, you should be able to lead colleagues in collegial development and drive development projects at the school.

Employment Terms

Employment type: Permanent position. The municipality applies individual salary setting. Start date according to agreement.
