English School North is looking for a talented and passionate chess expert who wants to play a key role in our continued investment in chess as a pedagogical tool.

The school has a strong chess tradition, with several successes in national and local competitions, and was named "Sweden's Best Chess School 2023". We now want to take the next step in further developing the operations.

About the role:

You will work with students in grades Pre-School (F) to Year 9 and develop chess as a natural part of the school's learning environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Chess instruction at various levels, from beginners to advanced players.
• Integration of chess into mathematics teaching in collaboration with math teachers, focusing on logic, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
• eChess and digital chess sessions as "brain breaks".
• Coaching and preparation for tournaments.
• Planning and communication regarding competitions with students, guardians, and staff via the school's platform.
