Jämtlands Gymnasieförbund is responsible for upper secondary schools, adapted upper secondary schools, and parts of adult education in our member municipalities. The association's eight schools are located in natural and mountainous environments spread across six municipalities – Berg, Bräcke, Krokom, Ragunda, Åre, and Östersund.

Jämtlands Gymnasium Fyrvalla is the heart of vocational technical education in Jämtland. It houses all vocational upper secondary programs and several adult education courses in adapted learning environments with modern equipment. The school has close cooperation with the regional business community across various industries.

Description

We are looking for a qualified teacher in mathematics, preferably in combination with another subject. The position is a permanent full-time (100%) position starting on 2026-08-10.

Your future responsibilities

Our operations cover six vocational programs: Restaurant and Food Program, Vehicle and Transport Program, Construction and Civil Engineering Program, Electrical and Energy Program, Plumbing and Property Program, and Industrial Technology Program.

In this role, you will teach mathematics in some of these programs. The teaching may include both basic school mathematics and Mathematics 1. You will plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching with a focus on creating good conditions for students' learning and development.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who is a confident and engaged educator with the ability to create good and trusting relationships with students. You easily meet students based on their different needs and see relationship-building as an important part of your work.

You are well-versed in the teaching profession and work structurally with planning, documentation, and assessment. We place great importance on your ability to create a clear and safe learning environment for students who need extra support, structure, and motivation in their learning.

You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and contribute to a positive work climate where student development and goal achievement are in focus.
