Parkskolan is a municipal school covering grades 4–9, as well as after-school activities for grades 4–6. There are currently 350 students enrolled at the school. The school is located within a convenient walking distance from Östersund city center and borders a park-like area. At Parkskolan, we work daily to develop our operations, among other things through collegial learning and relational leadership. You will work with colleagues with broad competence, where there are great opportunities for exchange and development.
We are now looking for you who have a good attitude and a great commitment to the students, and who want to make a difference in everyday life!
Job Responsibilities
At Parkskolan, we constantly strive to develop our operations, placing the student's development and learning at the center. At our school, you will work with dedicated and competent colleagues, where opportunities for experience sharing and continuous development are always present.
We are now looking for a teacher with a strong desire to make a difference in the students' daily lives. In this role, you will teach mathematics, science subjects (NO), and technology for grades 7–9. You will also share the responsibility for guiding a class. The position offers you a broad and varied assignment with many interesting challenges.
Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a school that prioritizes cooperation and student well-being. We offer a secure and developmental work environment with access to support from colleagues and school leadership. Qualifications

You have pedagogical insight, i.e., you are familiar with the school's mission and operations. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
A lead teacher assignment is included in the position during the 2026/2027 school year
The lead teacher assignment includes developing mathematics teaching and leading the subject group's work so that more students achieve increased goal fulfillment. This requires that you:

- have shown a particularly good ability to improve students' study results and have a strong interest in developing teaching
- are assessed by the principal as particularly qualified for teaching and tasks related to teaching
A concrete plan for the lead teacher assignment will be drawn up by the principal in August 2026. The plan may be revised as the work progresses.
If you are qualified for the position but not for the lead teacher assignment, you are of course still warmly welcome to apply.
