Description

Orsa Music School has a history dating back to the 1940s. The music school has always had a strong place in Orsa's musical life and is well established among politicians, officials, and the general public. Music is a strong signature for Orsa, and we are proud to be part of preserving and strengthening this. The music school plays an obvious role in Orsa's cultural life, both through its own events and as a participant in others' events.

We teach all instruments in groups and have approximately 180 individual students, in addition to choirs and some other group instruction.

Responsibilities

As a piano pedagogue at Orsa Music School, you will teach students individually, in groups, and in ensemble activities. You will teach students in grades 3–6 at our three schools during school hours, and older students in the afternoons and evenings at the Music School premises.

We have a broad orchestra and ensemble activity that you will participate in as needed. To the extent of your knowledge, you will also assist in organizing for these groups.

Qualifications

We believe you have a solid musical education or equivalent experience. Pedagogical education is an advantage.

A driver's license is an advantage as the teaching takes place at our schools in the municipality.

We want you, as an applicant, to be confident in your own musicianship and able to participate in both notation-based and ear-based ensembles. Previous teaching experience is, of course, positive.

Conditions

The position of piano pedagogue is a permanent part-time employment. We apply a 6-month probation period.
