Do you want to help train the next generation in the forestry industry at Älvdalen Education Centre?

The Forestry Gymnasium, Forestry Economics Gymnasium, and Hunting Gymnasium are offered within the Natural Resource Programme with a focus on forestry, where students gain knowledge in modern forestry and digital technology. Theoretical studies are interspersed with simulator exercises and driving real machines on training grounds and in the forest. Students at the Hunting Gymnasium gain in-depth knowledge of different hunting methods and game management. At the Forestry Economics Gymnasium, students deepen their knowledge in areas such as economics and forest management, while at the Forestry Gymnasium, more emphasis is placed on machine operation, and students also learn to operate harvesters. Our students gain competence to work in forestry as machine operators, forest caretakers, entrepreneurs, or to continue their studies towards becoming forest masters, forest technicians, game managers, game handlers, or other higher education degrees.

We are now looking for a person with good theoretical and practical knowledge in forestry/forest production who is eager to share their expertise with future colleagues in the forestry industry. Here, you will have the opportunity to make a difference and contribute to development.

Your Responsibilities

The assignment involves theoretical and practical teaching in modern forestry. Teaching in forestry machine operation is a central part. It may also include teaching courses in forest management and chainsaw use.

In your role as an upper secondary school teacher, you plan and conduct teaching both independently and together with colleagues. In your role as a pedagogue, you have an important mission to stimulate and motivate students to develop their abilities and create opportunities for learning. A central part of the work is to use digital systems and aids in teaching and documentation. The responsibilities also include mentoring, including development talks and parent contacts. Together with students, colleagues, and management, and in collaboration with the forestry industry, you drive the education forward. Älvdalen Education Centre is part of several exciting development projects within forestry and forest management.
