Haganässkolan is located in Älmhult in Småland, right on the border with Scania (Skåne). We have approximately 1,150 students and offer a wide variety of programs, including university-preparatory and vocational programs, introductory programs, IB programs, Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), adult education, and adapted upper secondary school.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching technology at the upper secondary level and program responsibility for the Technology program.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching with high ambitions for quality, structure, and goal achievement. You are part of a program team and are expected to actively participate in the school's systematic quality work. As the program coordinator, you manage the program's budget and, together with the program team, drive the development of the Technology program in collaboration with the school leadership.

The position also includes mentoring a group of students, where you serve as an important adult figure in the students' schooling and as a contact person for guardians.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who:

• Are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach technology in upper secondary school, or alternatively, someone who has subject knowledge, great enthusiasm, and interest, and is interested in obtaining teacher eligibility. Suitable competence areas are Design and Product Development and/or Information and Media Technology.
• Are interested in developing and driving the program with enthusiasm and engagement in collaboration with colleagues and school leadership.
• Can create clear and secure leadership in the classroom and have the ability to create a conducive learning environment and spark students' interest.
• Are interested in teaching formatively, differentiating instruction, and being inclusive, with clear structure and high expectations.
• See student participation as a natural part of the learning process and build relationships with students with engagement and clarity.
• Are solution-focused, flexible, and non-hierarchical in working together with colleagues. Have good digital competence, especially within learning platforms and AI-based tools for teaching, or wish to actively develop these skills.
• Thrive in a development-oriented environment where everyone contributes to the school's common goals.
