We are looking for you who are an engaged and certified preschool teacher and want to become part of our team at Björken Preschool.

Björken Preschool is a municipal operation with five departments, divided into two groups for younger children and three groups for older children. The preschool is multicultural, with language development and inclusion in focus. We are centrally located on Vårvägen in Växjö, along the charming old narrow-gauge railway. Our preschool offers a large and inspiring outdoor environment, divided into smaller yards to create good conditions for teaching and play outdoors.

With proximity to green areas and walking distance to the city center, library, and larger playgrounds, we have fantastic opportunities to vary our teaching. For longer excursions, we also have access to two electric cargo bikes, making it easy to get out into nature.

We are looking for you who are passionate about working with children and want to contribute to ensuring that every child develops and learns in a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment. As a preschool teacher, you have a central and important role in the children's learning. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and developing the teaching with a focus on, among other things, language development, social interaction, and a sustainable preschool.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified preschool teacher and are well acquainted with the preschool curriculum and other governing documents.

To succeed in the role, we think you are team-oriented and enjoy working in a team, while also being confident in working independently. Furthermore, you take responsibility for the children's best interests in their education as well as for your own continuous competence development. Your work is characterized by a positive and inclusive approach.

You have good digital competence. Completed basic training in Unikum and experience working in this learning platform are considered meritorious.
