Run by the Fryx Foundation, Fryxellska School is an independent primary school in Västerås specializing in music and dance, with approximately 860 students in grades 4–9. The school enjoys significant freedom to develop its own educational and pedagogical ideas, with a strong ambition for staff, students, and guardians to collaborate in creating a positive study environment for everyone. When students leave Fryxellska School, they are well-prepared for further studies and carry memories of social community.

We are now looking for a Study and Career Counselor

As a Study and Career Counselor (SYV) here, you will organize and conduct guidance activities for students in whole-class, group, and individual settings, often in close collaboration with other student health services staff, mentors, and teaching teachers.

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone who thrives working in a solution-focused, organized, and creative manner, aligned with the school's goals and visions. Collaboration is a key part of the role, so it is important that you enjoy working socially with students, student health services, teachers, other staff, as well as external partners such as businesses, upper secondary schools, and admissions offices. Since you will be the sole SYV, we also look for someone who can take initiative and drive activities from start to finish. We believe you are a structured person who can plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a university degree as a Study and Career Counselor.
• Has good digital skills.

Previous experience working as a SYV in primary school is meritorious.

About the position:

This is a permanent full-time position (40 hours/week). A probationary period may apply.
