We are now looking for a Study and Career Counselor for our central Child and Student Health Service in Uppvidinge Municipality. We are an interdisciplinary team consisting of counselors, school nurses, psychologists, speech therapists, and special educators. The Central Child and Student Health Service supports the local child and student health work in preschools and schools regarding the development of student health work on a broader level. We also coordinate further education and competence development for staff in preschools and schools. Our focus is on preventive and health-promoting child and student health work based on equal education, increased goal achievement, as well as security and study environment.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a study and career counselor who wants to help develop our work for our students in primary school.

The Central Child and Student Health Service works primarily with promotion and prevention. As a study and career counselor, you will be active and involved in the students' schooling at Uppvidinge Municipality's primary schools. You will have contact with students, guardians, teachers, and other school staff, as well as representatives from working life and the education sector.

You will guide and motivate students, individually and in groups, during their studies and in preparation for their further education. You have a genuine interest in students' development and their role in future society, and you organize students' practical work life orientation (internships).

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a degree as a study and career counselor.

You are sensitive and can adapt your counseling and counseling methods based on the needs and goals of different students and student groups. You are well familiar with current regulatory documents and ethical guidelines and actively contribute to the school's development and achieving our goals. You collaborate closely with school leadership and are part of the schools' local student health teams.

A driver's license is required.
