Jämtlands Gymnasieförbund is responsible for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, and parts of adult education in our member municipalities. The federation's eight schools are located in nature- and mountain-adjacent environments spread across six municipalities – Berg, Bräcke, Krokom, Ragunda, Åre, and Östersund.

Jämtlands Gymnasium and Vux Bräcke are located in the central town of Bräcke. Here we offer vocational technical programs as well as adult education, and we train the professional machine operators of the future on our highly sought-after driving yard in Bröckling. Bräcke is located midway between Östersund and Sundsvall, which you can easily reach by train.

Description

Jämtlands Gymnasium in Bräcke is one of Sweden's leading educators of construction machine operators. We are now looking for a vocational teacher for the Construction and Civil Engineering subject, levels 1 and 2, which students study during year 1. The position is a fixed-term appointment, 80%, with the possibility of extension.

Your future responsibilities

Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in your subject, as well as assessing, documenting, and grading, according to current regulatory documents. You evaluate and develop teaching in collaboration with colleagues and are an active part of the working team in the Construction and Civil Engineering program.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a strong commitment and a desire to develop together with both colleagues and students. Vocational teacher education and/or experience in teaching is meritorious. We would prefer that you have several years of experience in construction and civil engineering work.

You are confident in your professional role with varied tasks and possess good skills in collaborating with both students and colleagues as well as school management. You use IT as a natural tool in your work.

We will place great emphasis on social competence and that you have a positive attitude towards your job, as commitment and well-being are fundamental to us.
