The Department of Community Planning, Culture, and Public Health (SKF) is one of the broadest and most diversified departments in the country, comprising seven units (Fire and Rescue Service, Environmental Unit, Planning and Building Unit, Technical Unit, Meal Unit, Culture Unit, and Leisure Unit) as well as an Administrative Staff. Our goal is to be a forward-looking, change-ready, and service-oriented department held together by our joint development work and our strive to sharpen each other in our respective professions. At SKF, we work at a high pace with the widest palette of municipal tasks, which requires our employees to look beyond their respective operations to contribute to a whole within the department. In our operations, we answer to three political boards: The Community Planning Board, The Culture & Public Health Board, and the Conflict of Interest Board.

The Music School in Laholm is part of the Culture Unit and is a voluntary activity offering education to children and young people in Art & Media, Music, Performing Arts, and ComTech. Most of the teaching takes place in the Music School's own premises at Campus Laholm during afternoons and evenings.

About the Position

Do you want to help shape the future of the Music School? We are looking for you who have a main focus on piano and brass instruments, but who also has good knowledge of sound engineering – and who finds it stimulating to move freely between different artistic and technical expressions.

With us, you do not just teach – you actively participate in creative processes and productions together with students and colleagues. You will collaborate in production groups and with other teachers in different constellations, both within our operations and with external actors such as the upper secondary school. We consider it a given that our teachers are part of a team where collaboration and cross-disciplinary working methods are an important part of our identity. The Music School is a strong and visible actor in Laholm's cultural life. We are proud of our good reputation and are now looking for a colleague who wants to contribute with both competence and the desire to develop operations together with us.

Are you the one we are looking for?

The requirement for the position is a music teacher education with eligibility to teach piano and brass instruments, or alternatively other relevant education combined with experience assessed as equivalent.

If you only have one of the requested qualifications for instruments, we think you should apply anyway! There may be an opportunity to adapt or split the position, depending on the selection of qualified applicants and your preferences for full-time or part-time work.

Education as a Children's Rights Strategist is meritorious.

We would like you to have experience teaching at a music school, or equivalent experience. We place great emphasis on experience working with children and young people and personal interaction.

Category B driver's license, good knowledge of Office 365.
