Silverdalsskolan is a school for students who belong to the adapted primary school and who have an intellectual disability. The operations are characterized by an inclusive and structured working method where each student's individual prerequisites and needs are at the center. The school works in close collaboration between different professions with the goal of creating a safe, developmental, and meaningful school journey for all students.

As a student assistant at Silverdalsskolan, you will work closely with students who study both subjects and subject areas. You are an important part of the school's work team and collaborate daily with special education teachers, teachers, and other student assistants. Your role involves being a support for the students throughout the school day and at leisure time, where you contribute to creating structure, security, and good prerequisites for learning and social development. You adapt your support based on each student's needs and are involved in carrying out pedagogical activities and routines.

We are looking for you who have a great commitment to working with children and young people in need of special support. You have a professional approach, are flexible in your working method, and have a good ability to meet students with different needs in a respectful and low-arousal way. You enjoy working in a team but are also confident in taking your own initiatives in everyday life.

For the position, you must have:

• Education as a childcare worker with additional education as a student assistant, support pedagogue, or resource pedagogue
• Knowledge of, and preferably education in, autism
• Experience working with students in need of special support
• Knowledge in low-arousal approach and NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders)

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Experience working with visual aids
• Knowledge of Sign Support (TAKK) in communication
