Vesterhavsskolan is a primary school in Falkenberg with approximately 630 students in grades F–9.

Vesterhavsskolan is looking for a qualified and certified special needs teacher (specialpedagogue). We also welcome applications from experienced Swedish teachers who have experience in special educational needs. You should be an engaging leader who has high expectations for your students, as well as a team player interested in contributing to the creation of excellent education and school environment. Planning, implementation, and assessment/evaluation are our core elements.

We want the pedagogical quality work to be based on the learning process, i.e., the actual teaching.

We believe that all students can and want to learn, and that the path to knowledge largely goes through the classroom. We also believe that the teacher is the most important factor for a student's success in their schoolwork.

You will be part of the school's combined student health team. Your duties will be both remedial as well as promoting and preventive. The position is aimed at the middle school level (grades 4–6) with a focus on developing writing and reading skills. We look for someone with genuine commitment and interest in student-centered work, particularly regarding students in need of special support. You will work in parallel with special educators, other professionals within student health services, and other pedagogues.

We are seeking a colleague to start for the 2026/2027 school year. The position is 90% full-time.
