About the operations

Elias Fries is a preschool to grade 6 school built in 1995, consisting of seven smaller buildings constructed along a building lane. The school has approximately 270 students and is located in a residential area with mixed housing, close to forests and nature, as well as having good bus connections. The fine surroundings are actively used in teaching, and each building has access to allotment gardens, creating good prerequisites for varied and practical learning. The operations are characterized by the vision "Learning and development in a school for all," where the focus is on creating an inclusive environment where every student is given the opportunity to develop based on their own prerequisites.

Job Responsibilities

In preparation for the 2026/2027 school year, we are looking for a special needs teacher who is passionate about creating a good learning environment where students feel joy, security, and involvement in the operations. In this role, you work closely with the school's student health team and work groups to map, analyze, and develop teaching and student learning. You are responsible for providing special support to students and are an active and driving part of the school's development work to ensure that every student receives the right support and teaching. The responsibilities also include documentation and mentoring of colleagues. As a special needs teacher in Hylte Municipality, you are part of a network with other special needs teachers and special educators, where cooperation and support from central administration is a natural part of the work. The position offers good opportunities to influence and develop the operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are engaged, relationship-building, and have a genuine interest in working with students' development and learning. You have a professional and low-affective approach and good ability to collaborate with both students, colleagues, and guardians. You are confident in your professional role, well-acquainted with the school's governing documents, and have the ability to analyze students' needs and adapt teaching and support accordingly. As a special needs teacher, you are a clear and structured leader who inspires students to reach their goals by making knowledge requirements and target images visible in the teaching.

• Teacher's degree with eligibility to teach in grades preschool to 6
• Special Needs Teacher's degree
• Good relational ability and a low-affective approach
• Good knowledge of and familiarity with the school's governing documents
• Ability to work with student influence and analyze students' needs
• Ability to adapt methodology based on individual and group
