The role of special educator with us

As a special educator at the Introduction Programme, you work closely with students, teachers, student health services, and school leadership. You contribute a special educational perspective that strengthens the quality of teaching and the students' opportunities to succeed in school.

You will, among other things:

• Contribute to the development of accessible learning environments and inclusive teaching. Mentor and support teachers in special educational matters.
• Conduct pedagogical mapping, analyses, and assessments.
• Participate in investigations regarding special support.
• Document in student records and ensure legally secure documentation (ProRenata).
• Contribute to the work with action plans, extra adaptations, and follow-ups.
• Conduct and analyze pedagogical tests and mappings such as Logos or similar.
• Together with the principal, participate in and lead the student health team's work.
• Collaborate with guardians and external actors.

Your profile

You are unpretentious, team-oriented, flexible, and solution-oriented. You have a genuine interest in young people's learning and development and contribute to a positive work climate. You master Swedish very well in speech and writing and have good ability to communicate in English. We place great importance on personal suitability.

We are looking for you who:

• are educated as a special educator or have other relevant special educational competence.
• have experience working in primary or upper secondary school.
• have good knowledge of the Education Act, the Upper Secondary School Ordinance, and student health work.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience with the Introduction Programme.
• Experience working with problematic school absenteeism.
• Experience working with students with NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and/or mental health issues.
• Experience with pedagogical investigations and mappings.
• Experience working with Logos or other reading and writing investigations.
