Glänningeskolan was inaugurated in 2019 and is one of two F-6 schools (grades 1-6) in central Laholm. We have wonderful facilities that invite learning on all levels. Our fantastic schoolyard and surrounding nature, with both forest and lake, offer great opportunities for play and outdoor pedagogy. There are 370 students at the school, of whom 200 are enrolled in the after-school center.

About the Position

We are looking for you who want to be part of Glänningeskolan's student health journey by creating structures and routines, as well as developing the school's Special Education Group (SUND) to promote learning for our students in the best possible way.

You will support the work of mapping obstacles and opportunities in the school environment, as well as students' need for special support, to create conditions for development and learning at an early stage. You will provide support to student assistants and resource staff in creating good conditions in teaching situations and opportunities for students to develop based on their prerequisites and needs.

You will conduct your own teaching with student groups and individual students based on existing needs. Your work will be both promoting, preventive, and remedial at the individual, group, and organizational levels. You will work closely with students, educators, and guardians.

You are part of the school's student health team together with the principal and other student health professionals. There will be three special needs teachers at the school, meaning that together with two special education pedagogues, you will form a special educational team.

Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher and trained as a special needs teacher with a specialization in Intellectual Disability (IF). Experience with SUND operations (Special Education Group) is meritorious. It is natural for us that you have a salutogenic and relational approach and meet students, guardians, and colleagues with competence and warmth. You have a strong commitment and are good at building good relationships.

You have a good ability to see all students and take into account their individual prerequisites and needs. In your communication, you are receptive and clear. You are confident in yourself and find it easy to collaborate with the principal, staff, and other actors.

You want to make a difference and contribute to students' learning throughout the school day.

Personal suitability will be highly valued.
