The Department of Urban Development, Culture and Public Health (SKF) is one of the broadest and most diversified departments in the country, comprising seven units (Rescue Services, Environmental Unit, Planning and Building Unit, Technical Unit, Meal Unit, Culture Unit, and Leisure Unit) as well as an Administrative Staff. Our goal is to be a forward-looking, change-ready, and service-oriented department held together by our joint development work and our strive to sharpen each other in our respective professions. At SKF, we work at a high pace with the broadest palette of municipal tasks, which places demands on our employees to look beyond their respective operations to contribute to a whole within the department. In our operations, we answer to three political boards: The Urban Development Board, The Culture & Public Health Board, and the Conflict of Interest Board.

The Music and Arts School in Laholm is part of the Culture Unit and is a voluntary activity offering education in Art and Media, Music, Performing Arts, and ComTech to children and young people. Most of the teaching takes place in the Music and Arts School's own premises at Campus Laholm during afternoons and evenings.

About the position

Do you want to help shape the future Music and Arts School? We are looking for you who have a main focus on singing, but also have good knowledge of stage performance and working with children and young people – and who find it stimulating to move freely between different artistic and technical expressions.

With us, you do not just teach – you actively participate in creative processes and productions together with students and colleagues. You will collaborate with other teachers in various constellations, both within our operations and with external actors such as the upper secondary school. We consider it a matter of course that our teachers are part of a team where collaboration and cross-disciplinary working methods are an important part of our identity. The Music and Arts School is a strong and visible actor in Laholm's cultural life. We are proud of our good reputation and are now looking for a colleague who wants to contribute both their competence and their desire to develop operations together with us.

Are you the one we are looking for?

The requirement for the position is a music teacher education with eligibility to teach singing, or alternatively another relevant education combined with experience assessed as equivalent.

We would like you to have experience of teaching at a music and arts school, or equivalent experience. We place great emphasis on experience of working with children and young people and personal interaction.

Category B driving license, good knowledge of Office 365.

About the employment

Number of positions: 1

Start: 2026-08-10 or as agreed. The fixed-term employment is for 6 months from the start date.
