ETL Developer at Eskilstuna Municipality

Do you want to work with socially important information that makes a real difference? Eskilstuna Municipality is now looking for an ETL Developer who wants to develop, improve, and maintain the municipality's data platform and data flows. Here, you will have an important role in creating sustainable solutions for data management, analysis, and decision support. You will be employed within the municipality's IT operations and work closely with colleagues in both technology and business areas.

The role is placed within IT and is a permanent position. Initially, a large part of the assignment will be linked to the development of the municipality's shared data platform, but the role is long-term and forms part of the municipality's continued capability in data, integration, and decision support.

Responsibilities

As an ETL Developer here, you work with developing, improving, and maintaining data flows that support the municipality's operations – from operational needs in everyday life to strategic follow-up and decision support at the management level.

You will become part of a cross-functional context where you work closely with data engineers, analysts, architects, system administrators, and business representatives to understand needs and translate them into sustainable and quality-assured solutions.

Examples of tasks:

• Work with extracting, transforming, and loading data from various source systems.
• Contribute to structuring and quality assurance of data in the data platform.
• Troubleshoot, improve, and further develop existing data flows.
• Document solutions and contribute to common working methods.
• Collaborate with colleagues within IT and business to understand and meet data needs.

Qualifications

We are now looking for you who, through good communication, engagement, and curiosity, create the conditions for solution-focused work. You are responsible, unpretentious, and independent as a person, with the ability to collaborate towards set goals, plan, structure, analyze, and see the big picture.

At the core, you have an education in IT, system science, data/technology, or other relevant education or work experience. You have good knowledge of SQL, advanced data models, relational databases, data communication, and also good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.

If you also have experience working with ETL tools, TimeXtender, SQL servers, SSAS, as well as an understanding of data modeling and version control, this is seen as a big plus.
