Randstad Digital is now looking for a Junior Java Developer for a one-year consultancy assignment. The assignment is carried out in collaboration with our partner, and you will be working on-site at the end user within the defense sector in Eskilstuna. Responsibilities

In the role of Junior Java Developer, you will work with developing, maintaining, and further developing applications and system integrations. You will become part of a team where you get the opportunity to learn how to build robust solutions in complex environments and how systems communicate with each other.

You will work with the entire development chain – from coding and debugging to integration work. Since the assignment concerns the defense sector, you will get a unique insight into a business with very high demands for information security and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the development, support, and maintenance of Java-based systems and integrations.
• Perform debugging, coding, and simpler upgrades together with senior colleagues.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of smart system flows.
• Ensure that your code meets the business's strict security requirements.

Job Information

• Location: Eskilstuna.
• Work model: On-site at the client.
• Scope: Fixed-term employment/assignment for 1 year, with good chances of extension.
• Security Clearance: The position is security classified. Since the assignment takes place within a security-sensitive business, an approved security investigation with register check (Säpo) is required before start. This implies requirements for Swedish citizenship and a Swedish passport.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with:

• Experience and Programming: 1–2 years of experience in Java system development (mandatory requirement).
• Languages: Fluent Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
• Personal qualities: You are curious, unpretentious, and have a strong desire to learn new technologies and systems. You work in a structured and careful manner and thrive in an environment with high security requirements.

Desirable Competence:

• Have you come into contact with or have an interest in the PLM system Windchill? The role may involve developing and integrating solutions against Windchill, so if you have previous experience in the area, it is highly meritorious.
