At the Digitalization Unit of the Social Services Office, we work with and are responsible for digital governance, acting as support for digital development. We are a team of ten employees with various roles, including system owners, system administrators, and IT administrators. Our diverse functions make the tasks varied, and our willingness to collaborate and solve problems together is fundamental. Here, you will work closely with operations and contribute to smart digital solutions within elderly care, disability support, and healthcare. You will become part of a competent and helpful team where collaboration, development, and innovation are in focus.
We are on an exciting journey of development where digitalization is becoming an increasingly important part of operations – and here you have the opportunity to influence and be part of it.
We are now looking for an engaged IT Administrator for the Digitalization Unit of the Social Services Office!
1 position(s).
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an IT Administrator, you will work both independently and together with colleagues out in the operations. The work takes place in ordinary housing, special housing (SÄBO), and disability support (FS), which means you will also work in users' homes.
In the role, you will among other things:
- provide user support and guidance in operation-related systems
- install, configure, and maintain digital equipment
- coordinate and inventory the digital needs of the operations
- participate in the development and improvement of IT support together with system owners
- train users and create cheat sheets and instructions
- inform about new features and digital working methods
You will primarily support operations within elderly care, disability support, and municipal healthcare.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have:
- completed upper secondary education with passing grades,
- professional experience with IT systems and digital tools,
- experience with operation systems, such as Treserva or Alfa,
- good knowledge of the Swedish language, both orally and in writing,
- a valid driver's license (Category B).
It is meritorious if you have:
- experience with welfare technology,
- work experience within public operations and care/healthcare.
To thrive with us, we believe you are a service-oriented and pedagogical person who easily meets different users in a secure manner. You work in a structured way and are self-motivated, while also being solution-oriented and curious about development.
You are communicative and enjoy collaborating with others, but you also thrive in a role where you can take own responsibility and work independently. Furthermore, you are practical and appreciate working hands-on with installation, assembly, and technical equipment, and have a good ability to adapt to different operations and contexts.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability and want you to share our values of openness, development, clarity, and respect.
In spring 2026, a new law will come into force meaning that work in the home for elderly people or adults with disabilities will also be subject to register checks. For this position, this means that final candidates, to be considered for employment in Strängnäs Municipality, must present extracts from both the criminal record register and the suspicion register before employment can be offered.
The selection process is ongoing, so we warmly welcome your application!
Employment type: Permanent position.
