Job Description

As a Service Technician for Security Technology at Mariefred Prison, you will work with various IT systems in a high-security environment. You will be responsible for, among other things, the development, operation, maintenance, service, and troubleshooting of the facility's technological security systems. The systems include, among other things, master alarm systems with sub-systems such as telephone systems, duress alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, intrusion alarms, access control systems, and the RAKEL radio communication system. The role also includes administration, programming, documentation, and reinvestment of the aforementioned systems. You will also work with local access administration, installation of hardware and software, purchasing, orders, photography, service cards, printers, keys, locks, and support for hardware related to our security systems.

You will also support the headquarters in handling their IT equipment related to security technology. You have a broad network in the role and are expected to be the link between the facility and the Prison and Probation Service's mobile IT technicians who conduct regular site visits. Contact with other suppliers also occurs.

You serve as a local support function within security technology and contribute to the information security of the operational area. Together with the manager and security officer, you work systematically to maintain and develop local security regarding security technology. Furthermore, you are involved in local projects within security technology.

We are looking for you who have good cooperation skills and a high sense of service, as you will have many personal contacts both within and outside the Prison and Probation Service in this role. You have the ability to listen attentively and communicate accordingly, as well as having an interest, willingness, and ability to help others. You strive in different situations with a clear focus on solutions, while taking responsibility and ensuring that existing solutions work as expected. You have good judgment, take responsibility for your tasks, and are structured.

We are looking for you who have:

• Completed upper secondary education or other education combined with work experience that the Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
• Good knowledge and understanding of IT and/or key systems that the Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
• Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English
• Very good computer literacy

The following is also meritorious:

• Several years of experience working in service and support with a focus on IT
• Experience with on-site operational support for users that the Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
• Experience working with security technology systems
• Experience with management support in IT matters
• Experience with service card and key administration
• Experience working with telephone registration/documentation
• Education in IT or security technology that the Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
