Cederbergskolan is an F-9 school with close proximity to nature and a mountain-adjacent location. The school is located in the heart of Föllinge with direct access to cross-country skiing tracks, a nice sports hall, and a newly renovated swimming pool. Our school currently has approximately 90 students from preschool class to grade nine. We are building a school for the future and are looking for engaged staff who want to be part of this journey. We are looking for secure teachers who wish to work collegially and develop the school together with students and colleagues from preschool class to grade nine. We are now looking for you who are trained as a Home and Consumer Studies teacher to be able to teach grades 6-9. The position is approximately 25%.

The Child and Education Administration has approximately 800 employees. The administration's operations extend across the entire municipality and include preschool, primary school F-9, adapted primary school, after-school centers, catering and facility maintenance, mother tongue, and library services.

A day as a Home and Consumer Studies teacher at Cederbergskolan

The role as a teacher at Cederbergskolan includes planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching, as well as assessment of students' acquired knowledge.

You evaluate and develop the pedagogical work based on the school's steering documents, the student's needs and abilities, both individually and together with the work team.

You conduct well-proven, creative teaching and find strategies to reach every student and strengthen them in both knowledge development and personal growth.

In the role, you collaborate with other school staff to create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff, and actively participate in the school's development work.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a Home and Consumer Studies teacher.

You are clear in your leadership and skilled at communicating.

You have good didactic and pedagogical abilities and have a good insight into and knowledge of the school's steering documents, which you can use effectively in your daily work.

You have an investigative approach to your practice and adapt the teaching based on the needs of the student group.

You can lead and organize your work to create study peace and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day.

You have the ability to develop your teaching based on evidence-based research and have good experience with and knowledge of digital tools.

Of course, you have a professional approach and work for good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

Meritorious if you also have qualifications in other subjects.

Other information

The position is a permanent employment at 25% with a 6-month probationary period starting in August 2026. The position can be combined with other subjects to create a position up to 100%.
