Job Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher at Starbäcksskolan, you are a central part of the school's preventive and promoting student health work. You are part of the school's student health team and work closely with teachers and workgroups to identify and meet students' needs early on.

Your assignment includes, among other things:

  • Conducting and following up on pedagogical assessments.
  • Planning and conducting teaching individually and in small groups.
  • Supporting and supervising teachers in working with extra adaptations and special support.
  • Contributing to the school's development work from a special educational perspective.

The work is characterized by collaboration, clear structures, and a strong focus on the student.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a teaching license with eligibility for the earlier years of comprehensive school.
  • Is trained as a special needs teacher, or is currently undergoing such training.
  • Has a good ability to analyze students' needs and translate this into pedagogical measures.
  • Is communicative, receptive, and has an easy time collaborating.
  • Meets students with high expectations and a clear belief that everyone can develop.

You are a confident and clear educator who adapts teaching based on each student's prerequisites. You see school development and collegial learning as a natural part of the assignment and place great importance on building good relationships with both students and colleagues.

Employment Terms

Employment type: Permanent position.

Before employment can begin, a certificate of good conduct (extract from the police register) is required (no older than 6 months). A valid ID and citizenship must be verified during the interview. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU/EEA, or Switzerland, a valid work permit must be presented according to current regulations.
