About Västerskolan

Västerskolan is a preschool to grade 3 school (F-3) with three after-school centers. The school currently has approximately 170 students, 26 educators, a school nurse, a counselor, after-school staff, an administrator, a caretaker, a cleaner, and a principal. The school is centrally located in beautiful Kungsör, with close proximity to nature areas and sports facilities.

We work with great commitment to ensure our students develop and achieve both knowledge and social goals. We are accustomed to sharing pedagogical successes, and our close collaboration with the student health services ensures we always have access to advice and support. Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in the after-school center, you plan and implement pedagogical activities that complement the school through play, movement, creativity, and social learning. You teach students in grades F-3 in the subject of Physical Education and Health. Music teaching may also be relevant if you have the appropriate qualifications.

In this role, you contribute to creating an stimulating and educational environment where students have the opportunity to develop both individually and together with others. We work to ensure that all students feel safe and that every child is everyone's responsibility.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is primarily educated and licensed as a teacher in the after-school center with the qualification to teach Physical Education. Alternatively, you may be a student in the relevant subject and grade level. Additional qualification in Music is a plus.

You have the ability to base your work on students' strengths and abilities. You can build good relationships and work to ensure that every student feels safe, seen, and validated. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
