Solstrålen Preschool in Alsen is now looking for an early childhood teacher who wants to help create a safe and inspiring environment for children's development and learning. The preschool is a small private facility with one department located in the middle of the village, close to many beautiful outdoor areas.

Our focus is ecological and toxin-free in both our environment and food. In our working approach, we aim to see each child's needs and work towards a safe environment where all children have good opportunities for development, learning, and joy. We want to teach children to show respect for themselves, others, nature, and animals by providing the best possible environment with close proximity to nature and animals. The food is cooked on-site by our chef using organic, locally sourced ingredients.

In addition to the curriculum, we base all our work at the preschool on how it is strengthened by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

There are 18 children of mixed ages at the preschool. Our staff consists of four educators, one principal, and one kitchen manager. In addition to us two-legged humans, we also have a four-legged social service dog who visits the preschool and has outdoor lessons with all the children.

We have now had the opportunity to renovate our premises and develop our outdoor environment so that we can expand our operations this autumn. Therefore, we will be able to take in a few more children, and we are now looking for you who, on a full-time basis, want to strengthen our team with your skills and personality.

Our principal, Karin Bondeson, is a children's rights expert who also runs an educational company that trains various professional groups nationwide on how the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child affects their work. As an early childhood teacher with us, you work in close communication with our principal and the rest of the team. Together with our other early childhood teacher, you are responsible for maintaining high quality in the pedagogical activities. We appreciate that you engage in the design of the work and that you have a positive curiosity about children's learning. There are great opportunities for you to bring in the interests and talents you possess in your work.

You have an early childhood teacher degree and experience in how the curriculum is implemented in preschool. It is meritorious if you also have experience working in a private preschool and/or a small preschool with one department. However, we primarily look for personal suitability. You should function well with children, parents, and colleagues.

The position is full-time with a start date of August 11, 2026. We apply a probationary period of 6 months with the aim of extending to a permanent position. Our facility is a member of Fremia, and the terms of the agreements are based on this. Salary based on agreement.
