Töreboda Municipality is a small municipality with 9,200 inhabitants, where the proximity between citizens and cross-boundary collaboration are well-developed. We have the ambition to run a stable and efficient operation that benefits both our clients and our employees. To achieve this, we have a well-staffed social services department with high competence, which we see as a prerequisite for conducting good social work. We value high legal certainty and are proud of our high quality standards and a management and organization that support this.
The entire Individual and Family Care department in Töreboda Municipality works based on the Signs of Safety approach. Signs of Safety is a safety-oriented, collaboration-driven, and strength-based approach. We are looking for you who want to join us in strengthening and further developing the operations within this approach, and who wish to expand your knowledge and methods in social work.
The Child and Family Unit consists of two parts: an authority part and an executive part. At the Child and Family Authority, our caseworkers handle intake, investigation, and follow-up of open interventions, as well as follow-up of placements. There are a total of 11 employees within the authority part. This is also where our two family home secretaries are located. The Child and Family Executive includes our open care and family center, with a total of 10 employees. The unit also shares a social administrator who provides administrative support to the operations. Both groups have their own unit managers, both social workers with case handling experience.
We apply the principle of freedom under responsibility. We offer flexible hours and the possibility to work from home up to two days a week. We follow the National Board of Health and Welfare's introduction program for new caseworkers, and each work group has regular supervision. We apply regular workload measurements to ensure a reasonable workload over time. The unit has high management presence with close supervision from both managers.
Our unit has broad and solid competence, and all roles in the operation are important. We are good at helping each other and collaborating across boundaries. Do you want to become part of our fantastic team and help develop social services together with colleagues, partners, managers, and politicians? One of our employees will be on parental leave and needs to be replaced during this time.
The Assignment
We are looking for a caseworker for investigation and open interventions, primarily. You are responsible for pre-assessments and, after application or report, investigating and assessing children's and families' needs for support and protection, as well as proposing suitable interventions. Within the granted open interventions, you are responsible for following the family's change process and ensuring the right support is given so that goals in the treatment work are met. The work involves exercising authority and case handling according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act with Special Provisions on Care of Young People (LVU).
If you, or we, feel that case handling regarding placed children and young people is more interesting or suits you better, there may be an opportunity to work with these tasks instead.
QUALIFICATIONS
The work requires a degree in Social Work and preferably previous experience in child/youth case handling or similar. Previous work with authority exercises and experience of working according to Signs of Safety are meritorious. Experience of treatment work with children and families is also highly valued. You have good knowledge of the Social Services Act, LVU, the Parental Code, and social services work. You are responsible in your work and have a good ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others. You must be flexible and able to handle acute situations. You have good verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical abilities. As a person, you are sensitive, positive, and solution-oriented. Good treatment and empathy for people in difficult situations are natural to you. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. A valid driver's license (Class B) is required.
We offer individual salary setting. We request complete application documents. Employment interviews will take place continuously during the application period.
Applications, stating ref no 44/26, should be sent to:
