About the school and operations

Hackebackeskolan and Nyängskolan are primary schools in Lessebo Municipality with operations from preschool class to grade 6 and after-school care. Nyängskolan is the municipality's adapted primary school and has operations from grade 1–6 as well as after-school care. We have approximately 300 students across our two schools. We focus on providing students with safety, well-being, and good knowledge.

We have fantastic conditions with spacious premises for all classes, a large schoolyard with proximity to the forest. At Hackebackeskolan, approximately 50 employees work with a well-developed student health team that works to create an equitable school where all students are given the best possible conditions to achieve good results. The school is multicultural – we learn from each other and value our differences. At Nyängskolan, we have fewer employees, but we have a student health team that, together with all staff, works to ensure that all students receive teaching based on their individual needs.

Your responsibilities

You will teach grades 3–6 in the subject of Wood and Metal Craft at Hackebackeskolan, where students from Nyängskolan will also be included. Depending on the assignment's structure, part of your position may also be placed at the after-school care.

You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in accordance with Lgr22 and other governing documents. You are also responsible for collaborating with colleagues, students, and guardians to create a safe and developmental environment for the students. You inspire students in their creation and promote their creative engagement. You are welcome to bring new ideas that develop learning.

You collaborate with the textile craft teacher who teaches at the same schools, and you become part of a team of dedicated and competent colleagues who see collaboration regarding the students' entire day as a prerequisite for creating wholeness and safety for both students and adults.

Experience teaching in adapted schools is meritorious.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a license to teach Wood and Metal Craft in grades 3–6. You have experience in pedagogical work and have a good ability to lead and motivate students as well as create safety in the classroom.

You are a clear and secure leader who easily creates engagement and participation in your teaching, and you are accustomed to working with digital tools. Your leadership is characterized by clarity and structure. You need to have good collaboration skills and be relationship-building, as good relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues are fundamental to the work.

We expect you to contribute, together with other staff, to creating an equitable school with a good work environment. Great importance is attached to personal suitability, as well as experience in having a similar position.
