We are now looking for a Childcare Assistant and Student Support Staff for the incoming Year 1. This is a fixed-term position for the autumn term of 2026, with the possibility of extension during the spring term of 2027.
We are looking for you who is an experienced, engaged, and positive childcare assistant who achieves good results with your students and works from a clear special educational needs perspective, where inclusion and participation are two key concepts. You have previous experience as a childcare assistant in preschool or primary school. You are sensitive to the needs of the students and the operations, and you easily adapt your working methods to suit all students' different prerequisites. You are a good role model for students and staff, and your values align well with those of Västbergaskolan.
You have good skills in collaborating and communicating with students, guardians, and school staff. You follow joint agreements and wish to participate in Västbergaskolan's development work.
As a person, you are a clear pedagogical leader, possess calmness, and have the tools to handle the demands required of a childcare assistant and student support staff. You need to identify with these four qualities: engaged, methodical, creative, and secure, to give our students the best chance of succeeding in their schooling.
The position involves supporting students in teaching during the morning and working at the after-school center (fritids) in the afternoon for the incoming Year 1. You will collaborate with a mentor in the class and, based on the mentor's planning, follow and support the student in their learning.
