About the Workplace

Hjortsbergaskolan is a school for grades F-6 (preschool to sixth grade) with an after-school center. The school is located in the Hjortsberga community, approximately 1 mile from the town of Alvesta. We have the lake right at our doorstep, and our catchment area includes the Hjortsberga community and surrounding villages. Approximately 85% of the students use school buses. Hjortsbergaskolan aims, in collaboration with guardians, to develop active, creative, competent, and responsible individuals. Responsibilities

We are looking for you who are a qualified special educational needs coordinator (specialpedagog) with experience in providing guidance at both group and individual levels, documentation, as well as writing pedagogical assessments and action plans.

• You assess, investigate, and document students' needs for special support, and plan and implement support measures in collaboration with teaching staff.
• In the role of special educational needs coordinator, you provide qualified guidance to teachers and work teams regarding extra adjustments, special support, and accessible learning environments, with a focus on promoting and preventive work.
• You contribute to the school's systematic quality and development work through guidance and collegial learning.
• You actively participate in the student health team's work and collaborate closely with the principal, educators, guardians, and other professionals within the student health service.

Qualifications

The basic requirement is that you hold the necessary education and have applied for or obtained licensure as a special educational needs coordinator. You should have a strong interest in creating positive learning environments and a good teaching culture.
