About the Position

Uppvidinge Cultural School is located in Åseda and is a relatively small school offering a wide range of subjects and activities. At the cultural school, we are passionate about ensuring that all children experience the joy of expressing themselves through music, visual arts, dance, and theater. Our vision is to be a meeting place for cultural experiences.

We provide teaching at all primary schools in the municipality.

Responsibilities

  • Teach dance to children and young people.
  • Independently, and in collaboration with colleagues, plan and conduct teaching, performances, and public programs.
  • Be part of a working group to develop a relevant and inspiring cultural school for children and young people.

Teaching takes place both at the cultural school and at our primary schools.

Qualifications

  • Hold a dance teacher education or equivalent education/experience.
  • Are well-versed in various dance styles.
  • Have documented experience in teaching children and young people, as well as leading groups at different levels.
  • Have a solid dance background.
  • Have good IT skills.

A driver's license is required.

Terms of Employment

  • Salary: Hourly wage.
  • Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
  • Duration: 3-6 months.
  • Working hours: Scheduled.

Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

If you are considered for employment, the employer will request a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (criminal record). The Municipal Executive Board has decided that all new hires must present a criminal record extract prior to employment. The required extract is for work within schools or preschools.
