Job Description

We are now looking for a special needs educator in Västerås! Do you have experience working as a special needs educator? We are looking for you who want to work at a primary school (grades 1-6) in Västerås with students from different parts of the world. The position is for 10 hours per week, distributed over two days. There is some possibility of remote work. You will be part of the school's student health team and work closely with the principal, school nurse, and staff. You have experience in conducting pedagogical assessments, designing and following up on action plans, and mentoring staff. The position will be filled for the autumn of 2026. Your Background

You support teachers in creating pedagogical assessments and action plans, acting as a sounding board for both the teaching group and school management. Your interest in each individual allows you to consciously adapt content and methods for every situation and student. You are proficient with various pedagogical tools and programs and use the computer as a natural part of your work. You are structured. We also see that you are flexible and are just as comfortable seeing yourself alongside students in their learning environment as you are with the unit's educators. You are trained as a special needs educator with a background as a primary school teacher. You have experience working with students with reading and writing difficulties, math difficulties, and neuropsychiatric functional variations. You are familiar with various assessment and compensatory aids, as well as other methods that support our students and lead to better goal achievement.
