About the Workplace

Hjortsbergaskolan is a school for grades F-6 (preschool class to grade 6) with an after-school center. The school is located in the community of Hjortsberga, approximately 1 mile from the town of Alvesta. We have the lake right on our doorstep; our catchment area includes the community of Hjortsberga and the surrounding villages, with approximately 85% of students taking the school bus. Hjortsbergaskolan aims, in collaboration with guardians, to develop active, creative, competent, and responsible individuals. We strive to be a school where every student is given the opportunity to develop their own abilities, with the best conditions to motivate learning and offer a secure place with good structure and high expectations.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a teacher specializing in after-school care. The role involves working with our children/students at both the after-school center and the school. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in both the after-school center and the school. Naturally, it is important that you establish a good working relationship with the children/students and their guardians.

Qualifications

The basic requirement is that you hold a teacher’s degree specializing in after-school care, or another pedagogical education. You should have a strong interest in creating positive learning environments and a good teaching culture in collaboration with colleagues in the work team.

You should be social and have an easy time building good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You should be structured, clear, and consistent, with the ability to take initiative, showing a high degree of engagement and flexibility.
