About Duved School

Duved School is a magnificent building located near forests, mountains, and water, inaugurated in 2022. The school is built in wood, which means pleasant indoor environments while also having a low climate impact. The school is an F-9 school (grades 1-9) with approximately 80 employees and 570 students. The teachers' qualifications are high, and students graduate with good eligibility for further studies.

Our vision and ambition are to jointly create a school environment that continuously develops good interpersonal relationships. We work continuously with our value system and values. Security and peace of mind give students good opportunities to develop their abilities and knowledge in school, into the future.

The focus of the mountain profile is on three areas:

• Mountains, tourism, and business.
• Forests and environment, culture, local heritage, and history.
• Outdoor life, skiing, and mountain tours.

The purpose is to provide knowledge and experiences associated with the mountain surroundings and their phenomena. The goal is for all children and young people at Duved School to feel proud of their homeland and have knowledge of the values present in mountain surroundings.

Job Responsibilities

Our craft workshops maintain a high standard and provide good conditions for creativity and creation. You will work closely with the school's two other craft teachers.

In your role as a teacher, you will work with the team to improve the quality of the pedagogical work and participate in development work together with other teachers. The role includes overall responsibility for the students' social and academic development. You are responsible for systematically documenting, analyzing, evaluating, and following up on student learning. Grades 3-9 have craft education, and you may teach in different age groups as well as both textile crafts and wood/metal crafts.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher and have subject-specific qualifications in crafts.

As a person, you thrive working according to a clear process, organize and plan your work well, complete what you start, and meet deadlines. You handle stress constructively, maintaining a good mood under pressure and setbacks. You easily empathize with others, listen, understand, and show consideration. Furthermore, you adapt easily and find win-win solutions through a goal-oriented focus on the common objective.
