About Duved School

Duved School is a magnificent building located near forests, mountains, and water, inaugurated in 2022. The school is built in wood, which means pleasant indoor environments while also having a low climate impact. The school is an F-9 school (grades 1-9) with approximately 80 employees and 570 students. The teachers' qualifications are high, and students graduate with good eligibility for further studies.

Our vision and ambition are to jointly create a school environment that continuously develops good interpersonal relationships. We work continuously with core values and ethics. Security and peace of mind give students good opportunities to develop their abilities and knowledge in school, into the future.

The focus of the mountain profile is on three areas:

• Mountains, tourism, and business.
• Forests and environment, culture, local heritage, and history.
• Outdoor life, skiing, and mountain tours.

The purpose is to provide knowledge and experiences associated with the mountainous surroundings and their phenomena. The goal is for all children and young people at Duved School to feel proud of their hometown and have knowledge about the values present in mountainous surroundings.

Responsibilities

As a student assistant, you work in a team with responsible teachers and other student assistants. You work closely with the student and support them regarding all needs to create conditions for optimal growth and learning, where key words are inclusion, development, collaboration, and accessibility.

Requirements:

• You work according to a clear process, organize and plan your work well, complete what is started, and meet deadlines.
• You handle stress in a constructive way, maintaining a good mood under pressure and setbacks.
• You easily empathize with others' situations, listen, understand, and show consideration.
• You adapt well and find win-win solutions through a goal-oriented focus on the common goal.

Merits:

• Experience with neuropsychiatric disabilities.
• Teaching certification or other education that the employer deems relevant (e.g., social worker or behavioral scientist) as well as experience working with students in need of special support.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.

The position is vacant subject to no surplus, need for reassignment, or precedence within the municipality. Probationary employment may be applied.
