KAEFER AB reports according to IFRS and has a clear structure for financial monitoring and project management. The finance department consists of a CFO, a Controller, and three Finance Assistants.

About the Role

As a Controller at KAEFER, you provide close business support to project managers, focusing on creating financial control and ensuring that projects develop according to plan. Your mission is to monitor, analyze, and quality-assure project finances – ensuring that costs and revenues are allocated correctly and that decision-making materials are of high quality.

The operations take place in a comprehensive project environment, which requires structure, precision, and ongoing dialogue with those responsible in the organization. You work proactively with monitoring and act as a sounding board for financial issues, with the goal of contributing to good profitability and reduced risk in projects. The role means you do not just follow up on numbers – you help drive projects forward by giving project managers the right conditions to make well-founded financial decisions.

Your main areas of responsibility:

• Ongoing monitoring of projects in relation to budget, calculation, and forecast
• Updating and quality-assuring forecasts
• Analysis of project margins, cost development, and shared costs
• Ensuring correct project accounting and fair cost allocation
• Monitoring subcontractors and contracts from an economic perspective
• Control and monitoring of project-related resources and materials
• Active business dialogue with project managers regarding profitability, risks, and action plans

The position is based at the office in Stora Höga. At the same time, this is a role that involves travel within Sweden. You work closely with the project operations and therefore need to regularly visit branch offices around the country. Travel is a natural and recurring part of the assignment and assumes that you thrive in a mobile and business-close role.

Employment Type

The position is a consulting assignment where you are employed by StudentConsulting and work as a consultant at KAEFER. The position is full-time, and working hours are set during office hours. Planned start is immediately or as agreed.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for you who have:

• At least 3–5 years of experience as a Controller within the construction and industrial service industry
• University degree in economics
• Experience with SAP
• Very good knowledge of Excel and preferably Power BI
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English
• Valid driver's license (Class B)

You have a strong business focus and are driven by creating results through good financial control and clear monitoring. In dialogue with project managers, you are confident, communicative, and pedagogical, while also having integrity and daring to challenge when necessary.

You are flexible and adaptable in a changing project environment, enjoy working independently, and take responsibility for driving your work forward. At the same time, you have good collaboration skills and build trust in the organization by combining professionalism with a solution-oriented approach.
