We are now looking for a commercially driven and strategic Senior Business Development Manager who wants to develop new business, strengthen customer relationships, and create long-term growth together with some of the Nordics' most important industrial and logistics players.

About the role

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you have a key role in our commercial operations. You are responsible for developing and driving business within selected customer and market segments, with a particular focus on, among others, the forestry and steel industries.

The role combines strategic sales with business development and relationship building in an international environment. You work closely with our customers, terminal operators, logistics partners, and colleagues to develop and market competitive and sustainable logistics solutions via the Port of Gothenburg.

You belong to the Sales & Marketing department and report to the Vice President Sales & Marketing.

Your mission

In the role, you will among other things:

  • develop new business and create growth by processing new and existing cargo owners, shipping lines, and logistics companies
  • build long-term relationships with customers and partners in Sweden and internationally
  • develop and market competitive logistics and transport solutions together with terminal operators, partners, and internal colleagues
  • analyze markets, transport flows, and industry trends to identify new business opportunities and strategic choices
  • represent the Port of Gothenburg in customer meetings, industry forums, networks, and seminars
  • actively contribute to the development of our sales and marketing concepts

The position entails significant personal responsibility and many external contacts, which also involves regular travel both within Sweden and internationally.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have several years of experience in selling, marketing, and developing transport and logistics concepts in an international environment. You have a strong commercial focus and are driven by creating long-term relationships and sustainable business.
