ABOUT THE POSITION

We at Kura Omsorg are currently looking for two summer substitutes and hourly substitutes who wish to work as personal assistants for our client living just outside Götene. As a summer substitute, you will work when regular staff is on vacation. Work shifts may occur on both weekdays and weekends, and working hours are generally scheduled as follows:

• 07:00 - 15:00

• 15:00 - 20:00

• 09:00 - 16:00 on Saturdays

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a man in his 60s living with Parkinson's disease and uses a walker as an aid in daily life. As a personal assistant, you will provide support with transfers and assist with medication. Your tasks will also include:

• Support with daily routines such as household chores

• Assisting with personal hygiene and dressing/undressing

Furthermore, our client enjoys taking walks and going on outings. He wants to be active and involved in daily life, but does so based on his daily condition, meaning engagement may vary depending on how he feels at the time.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone who is calm and patient, with the ability to work methodically and structured. You need to feel secure in your role and be able to take initiative, both in conversations and activities, to create a meaningful and engaging daily life. You should be a person who enjoys taking responsibility and has a positive attitude, while also being flexible and responsive to the client's needs and daily condition.

Our client lives in a rural area, which means there is no public transport nearby. The nearest bus stop is about 3 kilometers away, making a driver's license and access to a car advantageous, but it is not a requirement for the position.

Extent: approx. 80% plus hourly substitutes

Number of positions: 2 permanent

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

A prerequisite for starting employment with us is that you as an applicant can present valid ID and submit a personal certificate as well as any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. You can easily download a personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. Due to the fact that the position may involve working alone, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) may not be performed by minors, you must be 18 years old to work as a personal assistant.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18 years of age, you are required to present an extract from the criminal register. From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply which mean that the register check includes both an extract from the criminal register and an extract from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Please note that processing times may vary, so the order should be made well in advance.
