Your Responsibilities

As a leisure-time center teacher, you make a significant difference for the student. You are present throughout the day and gain a holistic view of how the student and the group function in the classroom and in the leisure-time activities. This offers fantastic opportunities to analyze the student's needs and, for you as an educator, the opportunity to work with activities that strengthen the student and the group in their schooling. The students are the focus, but your assignment also involves collaborating with other educators and the student health team at the school. You also maintain close dialogue with parents and occasionally with authorities.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher with qualification for work in leisure-time centers. You are a secure adult who is passionate about creating engagement among our students. It is a merit if you have previously worked in leisure-time activities, school activities, preschool activities, or with children and young people. To be able to develop learning in the leisure-time center, you need to feel comfortable using digital tools and equipment such as tablets, interactive programs, and apps. Your good planning ability and solution-focused attitude are important for you to actively be able to link leisure-time activities to the national curriculum (LGR22). We are constantly working to develop our leisure-time activities and want you to have the drive and engagement to be part of this.

Recruitment Process

We have a central and common recruitment process for leisure-time center teachers within the primary school. This means that we interview and appoint our positions continuously based on the schools' needs. We update the advertisement continuously with vacant positions. You naturally have the opportunity to wish for schools when you submit your application. If you proceed after a possible interview, you will have the opportunity to visit selected schools based on current needs.

If you are not educated as a leisure-time center teacher, your application can be forwarded to principals who have vacant fixed-term positions.

If you currently work as a leisure-time center teacher at our schools but are interested in changing units, you need to apply here. However, you will not need to go through all steps in the recruitment process.

Other Information

Before you can be employed, you need to show an approved extract from the police criminal register.

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a personal certificate together with ID. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after checking the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
