Your Role

As a preschool assistant, you are an important part of the work team, and together with your colleagues, you contribute to making the days in preschool a whole where play, learning, and care go hand in hand. You are active, engaged, and contribute your expertise to the pedagogical development work based on the preschool's curriculum and the unit's goals. You contribute to ensuring that everyday life in preschool runs smoothly and that the daily pedagogical work is based on children's participation and engagement.

Together with other colleagues in the preschool, you create a positive, meaningful, and developing learning environment for each child and for the entire group of children. You actively participate in the pedagogical development work – planning, implementing, documenting, reflecting, following up, and evaluating the preschool's education and teaching. You participate and contribute to collaboration with guardians both in smaller and larger contexts, such as parent meetings and development discussions. Together with colleagues, you want to help create accessible and inviting learning environments for play, development, and learning. You have knowledge and ideas about how you and your colleagues can realize the curriculum's goals and values. You are flexible and want to work with children of all ages.

The working hours are full-time Monday to Friday, daytime.

Your Competence and Experience

A high school education in child and youth care or another education that the employer deems equivalent is a requirement. You should also be able to express yourself very well in both spoken and written Swedish.

It is an advantage if you have experience of language-developing methods, using play as an important tool in preschool education and teaching, and developing inspiring and inviting learning environments together with the children and colleagues.

As a person, you are committed, flexible, and responsible. You have a clear child focus, a positive attitude towards your work, and want to make a difference for the children and families you meet in preschool. You collaborate with children, colleagues, and guardians in a responsive and smooth manner and listen, communicate, and handle conflicts constructively. You act in accordance with decisions made, the curriculum, goals, policies, and guidelines. You are calm, stable, and have the ability to focus on the right things.
