Investigator for Criminal Issues in the Adult Sector

The Social Administration of the City of Stockholm has an overarching and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care and the area of disabilities. Here, we create good conditions to meet residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with the district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equal, and knowledge-based social service, and we have a strong focus on development. Within the administration, a wide range of support measures is offered to the city's residents, and the offerings change based on the needs of Stockholmers and the wishes of the district administrations. The work often occurs in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and the business community. The Social Administration is also responsible for the city's serving and tobacco permits and conducts supervision.

We are looking for an investigator responsible for criminal issues in the adult sector.

The area is rapidly developing with new legislation and increased focus on preventing and supporting individuals who want to leave a criminal lifestyle. Welcome to us

The position is part of the competence center for adults, where 19 employees and one manager currently work, of which 11 work as investigators in the areas of homelessness, violence in close relationships, harmful use and dependence, and economic assistance. We also have employees who work with training in MI, Roma inclusion, and as Bridge Builders. Your area of operation will be new within the competence center for adults but will be developed in close collaboration with investigator colleagues within the competence center for children and youth.

The workplace is located in Farsta Centrum, close to the subway and a shopping mall with a wide range of restaurants, cafes, and shopping.

Your role

In the position of investigator, your task is to work strategically for equality and coordination within criminal issues, primarily within the questions concerning the adult sector, while working closely with colleagues with expertise in the area of children and youth and in crime prevention work. The assignment also involves collaboration with other administrations, authorities, and actors. You contribute to ensuring legally secure and knowledge-based working methods and are a support for managers, employees, and other professionals in the city. The position includes monitoring the external environment and developing new guidelines or support materials, participating as an expert, leading networks, conferences, and training.

Your tasks include, among others:

  • leading city-wide management networks, organizing training, lectures, and workshops
  • staying updated on the knowledge situation within criminal issues
  • planning, implementing, and following up on budget assignments
  • working on development issues together with district administrations/other administrations
  • writing and compiling service statements, responding to motions, letters, and referrals
  • contributing to knowledge-based development in the area

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who have:

  • a degree in social work or another academic education that the employer finds equivalent
  • several years of experience from authority operations within the adult sector, preferably related to criminal issues.
  • very good knowledge of current legislation and working methods within social services' work with crime
  • experience in leading assignments or projects
  • experience in writing investigations, reports, service statements, or similar statements in the position
  • experience in conducting network meetings, workshops, and/or conferences
  • very good knowledge of Swedish and can express yourself very well in speech and writing
  • experience working in a politically governed organization

It is meritorious if you have:

  • academic further education in the field of crime, such as criminology
  • knowledge and experience of working with the implementation of new working methods and methods
