We are looking for someone to work as a method developer in the elderly care commissioning area at Järva City District Administration and to be part of our ongoing efforts to develop our operations and provide our citizens with the best possible service while maintaining a high quality in our work.

The elderly care commissioning area is responsible for regulatory activities for the target group of elderly people aged 65 and older. We belong to the department of elderly care, disability, and social psychiatry where we are both commissioners and providers within the department.

The elderly care commissioning area consists of a total of 49 employees, which includes a staff unit with leadership, support, and administrative functions, as well as three units consisting of 12 different assistance officer functions per unit. The method developer role has been a function we have had for about five years, so it is an established role with us. Our current method developer is moving to another function within the commissioning area, and therefore we are advertising this position.

Your role

As a method developer with us, your main task is to ensure quality and regulatory compliance. You design and update routines and checklists within the commissioning area, conduct internal controls and audits, manage deviations and complaints, and report to supervisory authorities. You also work with methods and professional development for our assistance officers by planning and conducting method meetings and collaboration meetings together with the three group leaders of the commissioning area. You coordinate various types of follow-ups such as feedback surveys and case measurements and lead representative groups together with the group leaders. If necessary, you step in as a group leader during vacation periods. You have close collaboration with the group leaders and also with the four managers within the commissioning area. You are part of the extended management team that meets regularly to discuss current issues affecting the commissioning area. Your immediate supervisor is the area manager.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a degree in social work
  • several years of in-depth knowledge and experience of regulatory activities as an assistance officer in elderly care
  • very good knowledge of current legislation and case law
  • excellent verbal and written skills in Swedish

It is also an advantage if you have:

  • experience of similar assignments in the past
  • knowledge/experience of Stockholm City’s operational system Paraplyet.

In your work, you take initiative and structure your approach independently and drive processes forward. You collaborate well with others. You work independently and plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively while expressing a positive attitude towards the work and the organization. You remain calm, stable, and controlled in stressful situations and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations and focus on the right things. You need to have good linguistic analytical skills as you write and read a lot of texts and documents in your work.
