About the workplace

The Child and Youth Unit is responsible for authority exercises and interventions aimed at children aged 0-21 and their families. The unit is divided into different groups such as reception group, child investigation group, youth investigation group, placement group, open care with a network team and field workers, as well as family law.

The placement group is an experienced workgroup with great commitment, high job satisfaction, and lots of laughter. The group consists of ten social workers and one section manager. The group is divided into two smaller groups, a family care group with four child caseworkers and three family home secretaries, and a HVB group with three caseworkers.

What does the job entail?

As a child caseworker in family care, the placed child is your primary focus. You are responsible for follow-up and considerations of care as well as investigating and following up on any interventions. We always work with at least two colleagues on cases, and you usually have visits and follow-ups together with a family home secretary. The case management is conducted according to both the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Special Provisions on the Care of Young People (LVU). You work closely with the child, their guardians, the foster home, other professionals, and the network around the child to ensure a safe and stable everyday life for the child. The work involves travel both in the local area and to other parts of Sweden.

Who are we looking for?

In addition to a degree in social work and a driver's license, you have experience in all or some of the following:

• foster care
• authority exercises
• investigation work with children or youth.

It is an advantage if you have worked with BBIC and Signs of Safety.

We value someone who is stable, flexible, and takes responsibility for their work. You are curious about developing new working methods. You are relationship-building and have good collaboration skills. Furthermore, we see that you are persistent, creative, and have a strong commitment to the work.
