Group Manager for Nynäshamn Municipality

We are looking for a group manager for Nynäshamn Municipality who wants to lead assistance officers within LSS and social psychiatry.

As a group manager, you play a key role in supporting assistance officers, ensuring lawful authority exercise, and driving development in a changing environment. You will have close collaboration with the unit manager and colleagues, significant mandate in daily operations, and the opportunity to influence both working methods and culture. Job Responsibilities

As a group manager, you are a present and secure leader in the daily lives of assistance officers. You support through coaching, guidance, and clear priorities, creating structure, job satisfaction, and a sustainable work environment over time. You are responsible for case presentations and make decisions according to delegation, focusing on lawful authority exercise and good quality. In close cooperation with the unit manager, you will plan, follow up, and develop the operations. The role also includes some personnel responsibility, such as recruitment, introduction, and employee and salary discussions. If necessary, you step in and support your group manager colleague within the elderly group.

About the Workplace

The main task of the Social Administration is to offer individualized support and services within elderly care, disabilities, children and families, adults, and financial assistance. We are present for the municipal residents through all stages of life. In 2025, an organizational change was implemented to better meet the new Social Services Act, where all authority exercise was gathered within clear areas of responsibility.

The unit for elderly and disabilities is responsible for processing applications according to SoL and LSS for both older and younger individuals with physical or mental disabilities. The unit consists of assistance officers, housing coordinators, and method supporters. In total, we are about 27 employees led by a unit manager along with two group managers. The group you will be responsible for consists of 11 assistance officers within LSS and social psychiatry.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • a degree in social work or an equivalent education assessed by the employer
  • at least five years of experience in assistance handling with a focus on LSS/social psychiatry
  • good knowledge of the Social Services Act, LSS legislation, Administrative Act, and other relevant legislation
  • knowledge of IBIC
  • very good Swedish in speech and writing

It is meritorious if you have:

  • managerial experience within authority exercise
  • experience of authority exercise within elderly care
  • knowledge of the operational system LifeCare
